Born in Lahore in 1980, Zafar got his early education from Garrison Academy, Lahore, passed his Matriculation exam at Military College Jhelum and graduated from Government College University, Lahore in 2002. Sahi then got his LLB degree from the University of Punjab in 2005. He has the honour of securing first position in Punjab University LLB part III exams and was awarded ‘Sir Rangbir Singh Gold Medal’. Zafar got his Masters degree in Law from the University of Warwick, UK. He also has the honour of being nominated for ‘Aizaz-e-Sabqat’; Presidential award for academic excellence, in 2007.
Zafar started his law practice in Lahore with Bhatti and Awan Associates, he later worked with a renowned law firm; Minto & Mirza for a little over a year before starting his own practice. He currently practices in Lahore, Faisalabad and Islamabad.
Zafar Sahi contested the 2008 general elections from Faisalabad and was elected as one of the youngest members of a legislative assembly; Provincial Assembly of the Punjab at the age of 27. He remained a Member of the Punjab Assembly and standing committee on Planning and Development as well as the standing committee on Information Technology till March, 2013.
Zafar hopes to contribute towards a better and brighter future of Pakistan and believes in the notion that ‘you have to be the change you want to see’.
